Journalism Class Hosts “A Run for Your Money” Boone Grove High School Homecoming Game

Come join the festivities at the Boone Grove High School homecoming basketball game on Friday, December 18th. The boys and girls varsity teams will play LaCrosse High School on this night beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the main gym at Boone Grove High School. Between games the homecoming court will be introduced and the homecoming King and Queen will be crowned.

The theme for the night is A Run for Your Money sponsored by the BGHS student publications class. Nearly New from Me to You consignment boutique (Merrillville) and Kent’s Run 5K are the corporate sponsors of the night’s events.

Fans will be treated to a mini fashion show from Nearly New from Me to You consignment boutique. A few lucky fans will win gift certificates from Nearly New in a drawing during the halftime of game two that night. All fans coming through the gate that night will have their admission ticket stub entered into the drawing.

Additionally, fans will also have the opportunity to sign up at a reduced cost for the 3rd annual Kent’s Run 5K run / walk that will be held at BGMS on Saturday, May 29, 2010. On homecoming night only, the entry fee for this event will be $20.00 instead of the regular pre-race entry fee of $25.00 (Race Day entry fee is $30.00). All fans who sign up for Kent’s Run during homecoming night will also have their names entered into a drawing for four (4) CHICAGO BULLS basketball tickets and a United Center parking pass. The drawing for the Bulls tickets will take place during the 2nd half of the second game of the night. For more information on the Kent’s Run 5K, visit www.KentsRun.com.
