Franciscan Health, partners hosting free Safe Kids Day in Elkhart

Children and their families are invited to join in the fun at the free Safe Kids Day on Tuesday, June 16 at the Tolson Center for Community Excellence.
The interactive event will include a variety of activities and demonstrations led by healthcare providers, first responders and community partners covering a wide array of topics such as car seat safety, water safety, fire prevention and more.
Each registered family will receive a Safe Kids Bag while supplies last and can enter to win door prizes. Winners will be announced the following week and do not need to be present to win.
All attendees will also receive a free meal for the whole family.
Safe Kids Day is a project of Safe Kids Northwest Indiana, Safe Kids Elkhart County and Safe Kids Worldwide in partnership with sponsors Franciscan Health Trauma Services, Franciscan Health Crown Point, the Elkhart County Health Department, Benchmark Family Services, Geminus, Strengthening Indiana Families, SAFY and RETA.
The event is scheduled to take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern at Tolson Center for Community Excellence, 1320 Benham Ave. in Elkhart.
The event is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. Registration is available online or by calling (219) 488-1380.
