Crossroads Chamber is excited to announce its first-ever Pickleball Tournament, taking place on Friday, February 6, 2026, and proudly hosted by the Crossroads Connects Foundation. Designed as a dynamic blend of friendly competition, networking, and community engagement, this new event invites players of all skill levels to come together for an energizing day on the court.
“Crossroads YMCA is excited to host our first corporate community event in partnership with the Crossroads Chamber at the new YMCA Sportscenter in Crown Point,” said Lance Reinsma, Pickleball Director of the facility. “This partnership reflects Crossroads YMCA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Northwest Indiana by creating a space that will serve as a central hub for community sports, family connections, and shared experiences for all.”
The tournament will be held at the brand-new YMCA Sportscenter of Crown Point, located at 1307 S Main Street, Crown Point, IN. Set to open in January, this state-of-the-art facility will host its first official event with the Crossroads Chamber Pickleball Tournament—making the day not only lively, but historic.
“Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country because it brings people together,” said Deann Patena, President and CEO of Crossroads. “We wanted to create an event that does the same—connects our business community in a fun, approachable, and energizing way.”
Blending elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is ideal for beginners and seasoned players alike. Whether attendees come to compete, connect, or cheer from the sidelines, this event promises a unique opportunity for businesses to engage in a fresh, active, and social environment.
“As the chairman of the Crossroads Chamber Pickleball Tournament Committee, I am thrilled to announce our first-ever pickleball tournament at the brand-new YMCA pickleball courts,” said Ty Tornincasa. “This event represents more than just competition; it’s an opportunity for our community to come together, build friendships, and celebrate a shared passion for pickleball. Together, we’re not just playing a game; we’re creating a vibrant and connected community.”
The tournament will serve as a new signature offering for the Chamber, further strengthening relationships across the region and supporting the work of the Crossroads Connects Foundation.
