Mental Health Awareness of Michiana (MHAM) invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of delicious desserts and meaningful impact at the 2026 Cake in the Park Festival Fundraiser, taking place on April 26, 2026, from 2-4:00 p.m.
The Cake in the Park Festival is a unique community event that blends a friendly baking competition with a family-friendly festival atmosphere. Participants will showcase their favorite cakes – whether homemade or bakery-crafted – while guests sample a variety of creations and vote for their favorites in a “People’s Choice” style competition. The event encourages community participation while highlighting the importance of mental health awareness and support.
Registration options include a category for home bakers, professional bakers, and general attendees who wish to participate in tasting and voting. The event also provides an opportunity for local bakeries and dessert businesses to connect with new customers by sharing their creations and promotional materials. All proceeds from the Cake in the Park Festival will directly support MHAM’s community programming, including educational mental health classes, public awareness initiatives, and efforts to increase access to care through programs such as the organization’s Pro Bono Counseling Project.
