Valpo to Host Neighborhood Workshop September 30

The City of Valparaiso invites the community to an informative Neighborhood Workshop entitled “Mastering Meetings” on Wednesday, September 30 from 5:30-7:00 pm at Valparaiso City Hall, 166 Lincolnway. Presented by Mitch Isaacs, President of Shafer Leadership Academy in Muncie, Indiana, the session will offer practical strategies for running productive meetings, engaging participants and moving groups from discussion to action. “Whether you’re leading a neighborhood association, serving on a community group or simply want to make your meetings more effective, this workshop will provide tools you can put to use right away,” said Community Engagement Director Maggie Clifton. 

The City of Valparaiso has partnered with Shafer Leadership Academy to offer free, virtual leadership courses to residents. Valparaiso residents can access these free courses by visiting shaferleadership.com/valpo.
