Valpo Announces 2026-2027 Basketball Start Times, Broadcast Information

The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics has announced start times and broadcast information for the 2026-2027 basketball season.

All six regular-season men’s basketball nonconference home games will air on ESPN+. The Nov. 6 game at Purdue will be televised nationally on Big Ten Network at 5:30 p.m. CT / 6:30 p.m. ET. The Nov. 11 game at South Dakota State will air on Midco Sports Plus, the Dec. 5 game at UNCW will stream on FloCollege and the Pensacola Invitational multi-team event is expected to stream its games on YouTube.

Five Valpo men’s games have been selected for regional television distribution on the MVC-TV Network through Gray Media – Dec. 22 vs. Evansville (8 p.m.), Dec. 29 at Bradley (8 p.m.), Jan. 5 at UNI (6 p.m.), Feb. 13 at Indiana State (noon) and Feb. 24 at Belmont (6 p.m.). Eight other conference games are under consideration for national or regional television distribution, as the conference and its television partners will utilize a wildcard selection process for those dates, with television designations and start times being announced two weeks prior to the contest.

For the first time, the Valpo women have been selected for a regional television broadcast on the MVC-TV Network. That game will be on Tuesday, Jan. 19 vs. Drake (6 p.m.). This year, the conference has shifted to using school-assigned broadcast talent for the MVC-TV Network package, so for Valpo home men’s and women’s games that air on the MVC-TV Network, fans can enjoy the usual Valpo-assigned television talent.

All men’s and women’s conference games, both home and road, that do not air on linear television will air on ESPN+.

Full information on start times and broadcast details can be found for men’s games by clicking here and for women’s games by clicking here. For “wildcard” men’s games, the start time and broadcast information will not be finalized until two weeks prior to the contest.

WVUR student radio broadcasters, led by Eli Conklin and Grayson Merchant, will handle the radio play-by-play for women’s games and home men’s games. Todd Ickow and Brandon Vickrey will have the hometown radio call for road men’s games again this season. Ickow and Jamie Stangel will call all home men’s games that air on ESPN+ or the MVC-TV Network, while Brian Jennings and Renee’ Turpa return to call home women’s games on ESPN+ or the MVC-TV Network. The production team for home basketball games on ESPN+ is led by Corwin Leverich.

The home exhibition games for both men and women will not be streamed but will have radio broadcasts available.
