Parkview Health receives 13th Most Wired award from CHIME

Rated Level 10 for second consecutive year

Parkview Health has been named to the Digital Health Most Wired Survey by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) for the 13th consecutive year.

Parkview achieved Level 10 ratings, the highest possible, for both acute and ambulatory care categories for the second consecutive year and the fifth time since 2019. Parkview was one of only 14 organizations nationwide to achieve Level 10 this year.

“Technology should make healthcare safer, more connected and easier to navigate for our clinical teams, administrative co-workers and patients alike,” said Jeff Coulter, chief information officer, Parkview Health. “For more than a decade, Parkview has demonstrated that we’re utilizing technology to its highest potential, while continuing to explore and implement new opportunities as they arise.”

The Digital Health Most Wired Survey serves as a comprehensive evaluation and digital maturity report card for healthcare organizations around the world. As digital transformation increasingly shapes the quality and accessibility of care, this recognition highlights the progress of leading healthcare providers as they reshape the future of healthcare. The achievement extends beyond information technology to every area of the enterprise, reflecting a collective commitment to advancing health and care through strategic digital initiatives.

Among the more than 44,000 facilities represented in this year’s survey, Parkview distinguished itself by ranking above peers in key focus areas including clinical quality and safety, analytics and data management, cybersecurity, population health, infrastructure, patient engagement and innovation. The survey evaluates the adoption, maturity, outcomes and value of technology across healthcare organizations at every stage of their digital journey, from early-phase digitization to advanced transformation.

Parkview’s Information Systems team has continually been recognized for its effective use of tech, including receiving the KLAS Arch Pinnacle award in back-to-back years; making the Epic Honor Roll for five consecutive years; and earning Stage 7 validation from the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Parkview was also the first healthcare system in the world to achieve Level 8 in the MyChart Diamonds program from Epic, recognizing the patient portal as the most advanced platform currently in use.

“Technology is as much a part of a caregiver’s toolkit as a thermometer or stethoscope,” said Dr. Mark Mabus, senior vice president for electronic health records and chief medical informatics officer, Parkview Health. “From MyChart for patients to the many tools for physicians, providers and nurses within Epic, Parkview’s technology improves access, boosts efficiency and enhances safety and quality.”
