Meeting Achievements and RevitalizED Instructional Design Begin a New Chapter in Expanded Valparaiso Location

On Thursday, September 10, Meeting Achievements® and RevitalizED Instructional Design welcomed the community into their new location on Cascade Drive in Valparaiso. Guests enjoyed charcuterie, lemonade, and sweet treats while meeting the team and celebrating the companies’ continued growth.

Founded by President Polly Grieger-Rossi, Meeting Achievements is a woman-owned event management company specializing in medical, scientific, and educational conferences. The company partners with organizations to plan and deliver conferences, training programs, and adult learning. This includes continuing education programs that help physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals maintain their credentials and stay current in their fields.

In 2021, Grieger-Rossi expanded the company’s educational capabilities by launching RevitalizED Instructional Design. RevitalizED works with organizations to create engaging, effective learning experiences; including custom eLearning courses, microlearning, training programs and learning-transfer resources designed to help participants apply what they have learned long after a conference or training program ends.

“As workplaces, technology, research and learner needs evolve, learning should evolve with them,” said Brandy Evans, instructional design manager at RevitalizED Instructional Design. “We draw on current evidence, emerging methods, and diverse learner perspectives to create accessible experiences that support meaningful learning and lasting behavior change.”

Rather than relying solely on lengthy lectures, RevitalizED uses approaches such as microlearning, active practice and real-world application to help people put new knowledge to work.

“Learning needs to work for the people doing the work,” Evans said. “That means designing with equity, inclusion, accessibility, and the realities of today’s learners in mind.”

Together, the two companies provide clients with support that can extend from event strategy and execution to instructional design and post-event learning.

Grieger-Rossi knew the companies needed room to grow as they expanded both their client base and their team. Over the last six years, the organization has grown from five employees to a team of approximately 20, quickly outgrowing its previous office. After considering several options, Grieger-Rossi found a space that could accommodate the team’s current needs and future growth — conveniently located just down the street from its former office.

“This space represents much more than a move,” Grieger-Rossi said. “It reflects how far our companies have come, the strength of the team we have built, and our commitment to continuing to grow alongside our clients and community.”

After selecting the location, Grieger-Rossi and her team transformed it with fresh paint, new flooring and personal touches that give the office what she describes as “vintage flair.” The conference room table was built from a repurposed section of a bowling alley by Grieger-Rossi and her husband, while her desk was crafted from wood salvaged from her parents’ over 100-year-old barn.

“For me as an employee, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted,” said Ali McCarter, office manager at Meeting Achievements. “I helped with many aspects of the move — from coordinating details and getting everything scheduled to hanging décor and preparing the office. It’s rewarding to see it all come together.”

The expanded office also gives Meeting Achievements and RevitalizED more opportunities to host clients, conduct training, and collaborate on educational programs. Visitors will see a space that reflects the personalities of the close-knit, hardworking team behind both companies.

“The new office gives us room to breathe, collaborate, and grow,” said Kristen Shepard, director of events at Meeting Achievements. “It provides an environment where our employees can continue learning and developing while we carry out the important work we do for our clients.”

Team members are eager to have dedicated workspaces, make use of the office’s quiet pods, and collaborate in an environment designed around how they work. For Grieger-Rossi, however, the expansion represents more than simply checking an item off a list.

“Our growth gives us additional opportunities to support local organizations and nonprofits that may need professional event planning or adult learning/instructional design services,” Grieger-Rossi said. “Although much of our work takes us beyond Northwest Indiana, we are proud to be rooted here and want our expertise to benefit the community we call home.”

Through its conference management services, Meeting Achievements helps organizations bring people together for meaningful education and professional collaboration. RevitalizED extends that mission by designing learning experiences and resources that help participants retain information, build skills, and translate education into action.

The team hopes the new location will also make it possible to create more community partnerships and expand its educational impact locally and nationally.

“One of our core values is caring,” Shepard said. “The growth of our team allows us to support more conferences, create more meaningful learning experiences, and help more people pursue continuing education.”

For Grieger-Rossi, the new office marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for both companies.
