Kankakee Valley School Corporation Receives $10,000 Rebate from REMC Power Moves for Energy-Efficiency Upgrades

Kankakee Valley School Corporation (KVSC) is proud to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 rebate from Jasper County REMC Power Moves. The rebate was provided for upgrading and enhancing the Kankakee Valley High School’s geothermal heating and cooling systems, significantly boosting operational and energy efficiencies.

The rebate served as an incentive for crucial improvements to Kankakee Valley High School’s existing geothermal infrastructure, helping the district reduce its environmental footprint while lowering long-term energy consumption and utility costs. By optimizing these systems, the school corporation ensures that taxpayer dollars are directed back into the classroom, directly benefiting students and staff through a more sustainable and comfortable learning environment.

REMC’s Power Moves program provides financial incentives to commercial, industrial, agricultural, and institutional members to help offset the costs of installing energy-efficient equipment.
