GreatNews.Life welcomes Sales Representative Joey Marcus to the LIFER team

GreatNews.Life (GNL) is excited to introduce Joey Marcus, sales representative, to the LIFER community. As an all-positive digital news network, GNL is always looking to expand its team with people who believe in the power of good. During his two-month tenure with the company, Marcus has already shown what a positive attitude and love for his community can accomplish.

Marcus joined the GNL team in February of 2026. As a sales representative, Marcus is creating connections in the community with both long-term and new positive news partners. While this role is Marcus’ first full-time sales position, he’s taking significant strides to become involved in Northern Indiana, attending events like the Crossroads Chamber’s Business Excellence Awards and meeting with clients at social meetups.

“I’ve been to plenty of meetings, gatherings, and awards ceremonies. I’m trying to meet people and get more known within the community and online,” he said. “That’s going to attract people back to me and GNL, bringing out the good news in the community and the businesses helping to provide it.”

Marcus was born and raised in Munster, graduating from Munster High School in 2021 before leaving for Bloomington to attend Indiana University. During his time at IU, Marcus completed a summer internship with Powers Health. After completing the internship, he stayed in touch with the Vice President of Marketing and Health Information Management, Marie Forszt, who recommended Marcus look into working with GNL.

Although he hasn’t worked a sales position before, Marcus’ outgoing personality and can-do attitude have made him a natural fit for the role.

“Joey brings his positive energy and is boots-on-the-ground connecting to organizations that are looking for help in sharing their story to our positive-minded readers,” GNL Founder Chris Mahlmann said. “He will be their go-to connection, and if you have not met him yet, I am certain you will very soon.”

In addition to the impact he’s making in the community, Marcus is also becoming an integral part of the GNL workplace. As he learns more about everything GNL can do for businesses throughout Northern Indiana, he’s also learning more about the coworkers who make it happen.

“I’ve loved it at GNL so far,” Marcus said. “The people here are great. Everyone has been so welcoming, and that makes it easy for me to learn everything about what’s going on and what to do. Even during the interview process, I knew it was going to be great and that I’d be very comfortable here.”
