Goshen Health Colleagues receive DAISY and Gardener Awards

Goshen Health recognized exceptional Colleagues throughout 2025 with The DAISY Award® and The Gardener Award, honoring those who go above and beyond to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

The DAISY Award® was established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes after he received exceptional care from a dedicated team of nurses. The Barnes family wanted a way to recognize the direct difference that healthcare providers, specifically nurses, made in the lives of patients.

Goshen Health created The Gardener Award to recognize the exceptional work of non-nursing Colleagues who not only exemplify Goshen Health’s values but also provide support and outstanding patient care.

Quarter 1

• The DAISY Award®:Will Grant, RN (Emergency Department) — Recognized for providing calm, compassionate care to a patient experiencing anxiety during treatment.
• The Gardener Award:Mardell Baker (Mammography Technologist) — Honored for her supportive and reassuring approach to a patient undergoing their first mammogram.

Quarter 2

• The DAISY Award®:Victor Kiprotich, RN (Day Surgery) — Celebrated for delivering thoughtful, attentive care to a patient undergoing a heart procedure.
• The Gardener Award:Tasha Hussey (Radiation Oncology Customer Service Representative) — Recognized for consistently offering kindness, encouragement and support to patients and their families.

Quarter 3

• The DAISY Award®:Karina Jimenez, RN (Progressive Care Unit) — Honored for her ability to communicate complex medical information with clarity and empathy during a difficult hospitalization.
• The Gardener Award:Dulce Mayorga (Patient Access Representative) — Recognized for providing compassionate, welcoming care that enhances the patient experience.

Quarter 4

• The DAISY Award®:Katherine Smith, RN(The Birthplace) — Celebrated for her calm, reassuring support of a patient during a challenging labor and delivery experience.
• The Gardener Award:Mark Potuck (Tobacco Treatment Specialist) — Honored for his dedication to patient education, wellness and long-term health support.

These recognitions highlight Goshen Health’s ongoing commitment to compassionate care and the Colleagues who make a meaningful difference every day.
