The Crown Point Firefighters Association is proud to host its seventh annual Charity Dodgeball Tournament to benefit the Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids (NICK) Foundation.
Help us help them by attending this one-day sporting event Saturday, Oct. 10, and watch as community members, local first responders, elected officials and local businesses play dodgeball to help raise money for the NICK Foundation. In 2025, we raised more than $20,000.
“These are your neighbors. Kids in your children’s schools. Families from all over Northwest Indiana,” said Crown Point Firefighter/Paramedic Dale Holsti. “Help us help them. Dust off your dodgeball skills and help us dodge against childhood cancer.”
Team registration is open to everyone at crownpoint.info/dodgeball. This year, high schoolers in grades 9-12 and anyone 18 and older are welcome to play. Sign-ups close Saturday, Oct. 3.
The opening ceremony begins at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door for those 13 and older. Children 12 and younger are free. There will be silent auction items, including gift cards, baskets and more. Food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. For more information on the event, please visit the Crown Point Firefighters Association Facebook page.
Northwest Indiana Cancer Kids, or the NICK Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2009 by a local family that experienced the impact of childhood cancer.
