Centier Bank Ranks No. 1 On Forbes’ 2026 List Of Best-In-State-Banks

Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family-owned and operated bank, has been recognized as Indiana’s top-rated bank for 2026 by Forbes®. Of the six Indiana banks to make the list, Centier ranked No. 1 overall this year, as well as in 2024, 2020 and 2019. The bank has appeared on Forbes’ dedicated Indiana list for nine consecutive years.

Forbes conducts its annual Best-in-State-Banks survey in partnership with the market research firm, Statista. Over 26,000 U.S. residents were independently surveyed to rate their financial institution on overall satisfaction, as well as customer service, the quality of the financial advice provided, whether fees are transparent and reasonable, digital tools, and their level of trust in their bank.

Statista also compiled research of more than 1.2 million public reviews and ratings written about each financial institution between February 2023 and March 2026. This research accounted for 20% of the scoring while the surveys accounted for 80%.

Centier Bank has also received recognition from American Banker magazine in 2025 as the Top Best Bank to Work for in Indiana, while ranking #5 nationally. The Indiana Chamber also recently recognized Centier Bank at its annual Best Places to Work Awards for the 20th consecutive year. Locally, Centier Bank was recently recognized as the best bank in Northwest Indiana for business and customer service in Northwest Indiana Business Magazine’s 2026 awards.
