46th annual Rhapsody Arts & Music Festival Returns June 12-13 with Two Days of Music, Art, Food, and Family Fun in Downtown Elkhart

The sounds of live music, the work of local artists, and the energy of a community gathering will once again fill downtown Elkhart when the Rhapsody Arts & Music Festival returns to Island Park on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13.

Now entering its 46th year, Rhapsody remains one of Elkhart’s longest-running summer traditions, bringing together musicians, artists, makers, food vendors, families, and visitors from across the region for a weekend of creativity and community along the St. Joseph River.

“We’re excited to bring a few new elements to the festival this year, including family rides and attractions in the Family Zone and an updated stage layout,” said Event Coordinator Liz Stoutenour. “At the same time, we’re keeping the traditions that people have loved about Rhapsody for decades: great music, local art, good food, and a welcoming community atmosphere.”

The festival opens Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday evening, featuring performances spanning Americana, blues, folk, country, rock, and regional favorites.

New this year, Rhapsody will feature an updated stage layout at Island Park, offering a refreshed viewing experience for festivalgoers. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy performances throughout the weekend, as the benches near the stage have been removed.

In addition to live entertainment, festivalgoers can browse artisan vendors, enjoy local food and beverages, visit the Westwind Brewery beer garden, and participate in family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.

Saturday morning will also feature the Elkhart Farmers Market at Lundquist-Bicentennial Park, creating an expanded downtown festival atmosphere and offering visitors the chance to shop for fresh produce, baked goods, handcrafted items, and more before exploring the rest of Rhapsody.

Families can enjoy the Family Zone, sponsored by Growing Kids Learning Center, featuring carnival-style rides and attractions, interactive activities, and entertainment for children of all ages. Located in Lundquist-Bicentennial Park, the Family Zone offers even more opportunities for families to spend the day exploring, playing, and making memories together.

Festival admission is free, making Rhapsody one of the region’s most accessible summer events.
