1st Source Bank Executive Chairman Receives Honorary Degree from the University of Notre Dame

1st Source Bank congratulates Executive Chairman, Christopher J. Murphy III, on having received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Notre Dame at the 181st University Commencement Ceremony. He was among a distinguished group of seven honorees recognized for their meaningful contributions to society, leadership, and service.
A Notre Dame alumnus, Mr. Murphy has a longstanding relationship with both Notre Dame and the South Bend community. In addition to this honorary degree, he holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A. from Harvard University, and a J.D. from the University of Virgina. Throughout decades of leadership in banking and business, he has supported numerous initiatives advancing education, health care, economic development, and the arts at the regional, state, and national levels. In over 50 years of service to 1st Source, Mr. Murphy has played a pivotal role in its growth and success, helping shape the organization into a trusted financial institution committed to serving clients and to strengthening the surrounding communities.
