The Michigan City Wolves hosted the Valparaiso Vikings for senior night at Ames Field. Cooper Gear opened up scoring for the Vikings with a 13 yard run in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Wolves capitalized on a lost fumble by Valpo on a punt return. They drove down the field to the redzone. What looked like a costly interception of a Chance Bernard toss, was deflected and caught by Cameron Duke for Michigan City’s only score of the game. Michigan City honored football hall of fame inductees at the half. The Vikings put the game away in the third on the ground for the 43-7 win. Cooper Gear finished with four touchdowns with a standout grand attack. Valparaiso moves to 3-1 and Michigan City is still looking for the first win at 0-4.
