The Washington Panthers hosted the Goshen Redhawks under the Friday night lights at School Field in South Bend. The Panthers scored early with a 30 yard strike from senior Eli Young to Zykeen Slade. Douglas Diaz answered with a pass to Spencer Elliot for the first Redhawk score. However, Goshen opened things up in the second quarter with their back to the endzone on an electrifying 95 yard pick six by Douglas Diaz on defense on the way to finish the half with a 24-7 lead. Goshen pulled away with a 31-13 after halftime. However, Washington turned a timely interception and a TD and two point conversion by Young to fight within striking range of the Redhawks at the end of 3, 31-21. However, the play by Diaz and his offense was too much for the Panthers. Final Score 38-21.
