“As an individual. It’s senior night so the seniors are going to want to eat. I just come in here trying to do all the little things; grab rebounds, trying to play great defense. I know the seniors get their shots so I come in trying to do the little things and I feel like I did great.” “It means so much to see the seniors play. I’ve been blessed to come in here as a freshman and have this great senior class and just mentor me every single day at practice and to push me to get better every single day. Just seeing them have their moment makes me so excited but it also makes me so sad to see them leave because they’re my brothers, man. It’s going to be hard for me to see them leave.” “Coach always tells us, no matter if we’re down by 10, no matter if we’re up by 10, it’s always 0-0…anything could happen. -Reid Kaegy (Crown Point)
“All the fantastic memories that I have with the community at Crown Point and the basketball team has just been a brilliant time and it was a full circle moment. I wanted to shed a tear but I realized I had a game to play. It was definitely a full circle moment with all the times I spent wearing a Crown Point jersey and being a part of the community. I’m just blessed.” “I think what me and my teammates embody is that we show hospitality and humility in the face of adversity with competitiveness and resilience so Crown Point has definitely molded us all and just to be a stand up person and put others before self.” “I want to thank my parents Candace and Daryl Shaw for instilling values into me and my siblings too. There’s no reason to be rude or disrespectful, and always be nice because regardless of your negative interactions with people, something positive always comes from it.” -Dikembe Shaw (Crown Point)
