The Center for Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) has been the home of South Shore Arts since its opening in 1989. As a primary tenant in this multi-use facility, space for South Shore Arts includes the 5,000 square foot William J. Bachman Gallery, the South Shore Arts Gift Shop, studios and general offices. Our main gallery is named after William J. Bachman, the architect of the CVPA and a founding member of South Shore Arts.
The South Shore Arts classrooms on the lower level of the CVPA include the Oesterle and Dietrich Studios, the Bodie Photography Studio, a pre-school art room and a ceramics studio.
South Shore Arts welcomes all visitors and affirms our commitment to making our programs and services accessible to everyone. Adults and children with all levels of all abilities are welcome to participate. Both galleries at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster are on ground level with no steps at the main entrance on the east side of the building.
