The 12th Night Christmas Tree Bonfire Celebration will once again kick off the New Year in Crown Point. The free, family friendly event hosted by City of Crown Point and Geisen Funeral Homes is at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Lake County Fairgrounds, located at 889 S. Court St. The bonfire takes place near the Grandstand. Free hot chocolate and popcorn will be provided.
The City and Geisen have hosted the event together for more than 25 years. Natural trees can be dropped off by Saturday, Jan. 10, at the designated location at the Fairgrounds. Crown Point Public Works will collect natural trees from the curb until the event.
