Well Crafted Signature Sips celebrates Elkhart County’s five craft breweries with exclusive brews in October

The Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau is joining with all five of Elkhart County’s craft breweries for today’s launch of Well Crafted Signature Sips, a celebration of our area’s growing and evolving food culture.

For the entire month of October, each craft brewery has created a one-of-a-kind Well Crafted beer served exclusively at their location. The beers are available on tap as well as in cans and crowlers as available at each brewery with unique branding to celebrate fall flavors and outdoor activities of the season.

The Well Crafted beers are:

  • Brass Elk Brewing, Elkhart, Well Crafted Cranberry Lime Sour. This beer is a bright and refreshing sour bursting with tart cranberry and zesty lime. A sip of this beer will be crisp, tangy, and a little sweet with a clean, fruit-forward finish.
  • Goshen Brewing Company, Goshen, Well Crafted Smoked Porter. This beer is dark and roasty, with hints of chocolate and smoke flavors.
  • Iechyd Da Brewing Company, Elhart, Well Crafted POK Wheat. This beer is a last kiss to summertime vibes, blending pineapple, orange and key lime to leave one dreaming of warmer times.
  • Wedgewood Brewing, Middlebury, Well Crafted Ripple Effect IPA. This beer is dry hopped with Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Rakau hops.
  • Westwind Brewery Company, Elkhart, Well Crafted Fall Shandy. This beer is a shandy with notes of citrus and fall zest.

“Elkhart County continues to surprise and delight diners and drinkers with the creativity, hand-crafted excellence and hospitality of our entrepreneurs. We’re excited to highlight our outstanding craft breweries with this collaboration,” said Jon Hunsberger, executive director of the Elkhart County CVB.

Elkhart County has long been a dining destination, driven by Amish Country favorites in Middlebury and Nappanee. While home-style cooking favorites featuring fried chicken and mashed potatoes remain an essential culinary experience, over time entrepreneurs and creative chefs have built on this tradition with new and inventive experiences. Craft brewing is one example of how culinary options have expanded throughout Elkhart County.

“When residents and visitors dine out in Elkhart County, they have an abundance of options that fit any taste as well as budget. And no matter which community you’re in, you’ll enjoy exceptional service and welcoming smiles at our restaurants, breweries and coffee shops,” said Hunsberger. “We’re thankful to these small business owners for creating places that people want to visit, whether they’re a local resident or a visitor.”

Tourism and hospitality generate an annual economic impact of $920 million, adding to the prosperity of Elkhart County’s cities and towns and encouraging continued investment in quality-of-place amenities such as parks, arts and cultural institutions, and dining.
