4/11 – Senior Charlotte Dombrowski had a no hitter against Portage. Charlotte struck out 10 batters and received support from her defense on the field as well as from catcher Paiton Iliff. Melina Rodriquez and Hannah Welch each hit home runs, with Brooke Corneil going 3 for 3 with 2 hits. JV were defeated by a score of 2-12.
4/12 – The Lady Vikings had a stellar game, defeating Michigan City Wolves 13-0. Koral Moreno pitched the all 5 innings, struck out 10 batters and only allowed 1 hit. Paiton Iliff, Marley Nagy each had a homerun. Charlotte Dombrowski had 2 homeruns, including a grand slam! These girls are on fire!
4/14 – Another shut out for the Lady Viking softball team, after defeating the LaPorte Slicers 13-0. Charlotte Dombrowski pitched all 5 innings, giving up only 2 hits, not allowing any runs and with 10 strike-outs. Hannah Welch went 2 for 3 with 2 runs and 4 RBI’s. JV also had a great win defeating the Slicer 19-3.

4/11 – The Lady Vikings traveled to Plymouth, both Varsity and JV teams suffered a loss. Below are the individual winners:
4/11 – Freshmen Baseball defeated Bishop Noll 3-1 behind a total team effort. The Vikings scored 2 runs in the first inning and never gave up the lead. Gabe Bush, Trevor Fenters, Daniel Klapp and Nate Nightingale kept the Warrior hitters off the base paths.
4/12 – Freshmen, JV and Varsity played the first game of their 2 night games vs. rival Chesterton Trojans. The Varsity and Fresmen both came away with shut out wins, unfortunately the JV last a tough battle.
Varsity – 8-0 – Caden Crowell and Dillon Rodriguez shared the pitching duties for the Varsity game. Caden struck out 6 batters, while Dillon struck out 1. Dillon Rodriguez and Aiden Hooks each had homeruns, while Andres Guzman batted in 4 runs.
JV – Ended with a score of 3-7. Blake Shudick was the pitcher for the Vikings. Phillip Amones and Kaden Matthews each had 2 hits.
Freshmen – 10-0 – Zach Troxel pitched a great game, striking out 10 of 19 players, and only allowing 1 to reach base. Trevor Fenters went 2 for 3 with a solo homerun.
4/14 – On a very windy night, the Vikings took on the Trojans for the second time and the results were flipped. The JV finished ahead, 12-8 and the Varsity fell 12-14.
Varsity – Cameron Milroy pitched for 5 innings, He only allowed 6 hits with 3 runs and had 6 strike outs. Ian Wilson & Logan Lockhart split the final 3 innings, together allowing 11 hits and 11 runs, with 4 strike outs. Thomas Vo went 2 for 4 with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s.
JV – Brecken Adams pitched four efficient and effective innings before tiring in the 5th. Blake Shudick relieved Adams and pitched the final innings to preserve the win. Philliop Amones hit a three run homer. Amones, Andrew Alcorn, Nathan Brumfield & Kaden Matthews each scored 2 runs.

Unified Track and Field
The Unified Track & Field team kicked off their season on a very windy day! They hosted both LaPorte and Lake Central. Everyone involved had a great time and did an amazing job! The next meet will be next Thursday at Chesterton.
