VHS Guest Artist Jazz Concert to Feature Navy Senior Chief Musician

Come out for a swinging good time at the VHS Guest Artist Jazz Concert on Friday, December 2, 2011, 7:30 pm. Held at the Valparaiso First United Methodist Church, the free concert will feature guest artist Gregory Dudzienski, Senior Chief Musician in the United States Navy.

A native of Valparaiso, Senior Chief Dudzienski earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Studies and Performance from Northern Illinois University. He has since performed with popular music and jazz artists including Marian McPartland, Clark Terry, Lou Donaldson, Maureen McGovern, Gerald Wilson, David Liebman, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Temptations, The Four Tops, and The Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Senior Chief Dudzienski’s awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and numerous unit awards.
