Troopers Participate in 2016 Shop with a Cop Event in Portage

Indiana-State-Police-Shop-with-a-Cop-Portage-2016_01Indiana State Police were happy to participate this Saturday morning, December 17th, 2016, with the Indiana Black Troopers Association in a “Shop With A Cop” event at the Portage Walmart.

Indiana-State-Police-Shop-with-a-Cop-Portage-2016_02Troopers volunteered their time to participate. This event brought law enforcement and children together. Children and their parents were paired up with a trooper to shop for clothing, toys, or purchase something they needed.

Indiana-State-Police-Shop-with-a-Cop-Portage-2016_04This event was made possible by the IBTA which is an organization made of active and retired troopers from around the state of Indiana. Special thanks to the Portage Walmart for their generosity and assistance in this event.

Particpating were: First Sergeant Weems, Sergeant Dwayne Dillahunty, Corporal Dan Avitia, Master Troopers Lionel Douglas, Brian White and Taylor Bryant, Troopers Khari Walton, Davonne Barlow and Eric Madry
