City of Portage hosted a fun-filled parade, surrounded with smiles and happy kids!

Northwest Health showed appreciation to their dedicated team members with Trunk-or-Treats at their Northwest Health – La Porte and Porter locations. The events featured fun-filled activities including face painting, balloon animals, and of course Halloween decorated cars filled with candy and treats for the kids.

Great work by the JV and Varsity Girls Basketball Teams of Valparaiso and Portage High Schools during Tuesday night’s games held at VHS.
The JV game finished in a 37-14 win for Valpo, and the Varsity game ended 57-50 with a second win for the Vikings.

It was Senior Night in Portage as the Portage Indians and the La Porte Slicers faced off on the hardwood on Feb. 18 for some hard-nosed DAC basketball. This was a tight game the first half, but the Indians ran away with it in the second half, beating the Slicers 57-44! Check out all the photos from the game here.

The Crown Point Bulldogs defeated Portage High School 44-14 in the sectional semi-final.

Portage beats Hobart 3-0 to advance to Saturday’s sectional championship! PHS will face the Valpo Vikings for the sectional championship.

The Crown Point Bulldogs defeated the Portage Indians in straight sets on Saturday night, winning the matchup 3-0 and claiming the Sectional Championship. They’ll continue their playoff run next Saturday at Regionals hosted at La Porte High School, beginning with a Semi-Final match against Lake Central.

Crown Point claims the 2022 DAC Wrestling Championship, earning 306.5 points and winning 10 weight classes.

Crown Point won 5-0 against Portage in a shortened 6 inning game in the IHSAA semi-final sectional tournament. Crown Point will move on to play Hobart on Monday.
