The Valparaiso Police Department is Seeking Applicants

The Valparaiso Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must complete the application via Police App.com or at www.valparaisopolice.org. The minimum requirements to be considered for this opportunity are: applicant must be 21—40 years of age, hold a high school diploma or GED, be a United States Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have no prior felony convictions.

A lateral transfer program (salary/vacation) is also available to qualified applicants; however, participation in the testing phase is mandatory for employment consideration. 

All applications must be returned no later than 4:00pm on April 3, 2026 to be considered for agility/written tests. Testing will take place at Valparaiso High School (2727 Campbell Street) on April 18, 2026 beginning at 8:00am.
