The David Taylor Team brings 100 years of combined experience to McColly Real Estate

After a successful 30-year history with Century 21, the David Taylor Team is proud to join the ranks of McColly Real Estate and help clients find their perfect home. During his time at Century 21, Real Estate Broker and Team Leader David Taylor built up his staff, which now consists of 7 Team members, and has established a strong legacy. Taylor maintained the Centurion Award status – an award recognizing Century 21’s top performers – for 26 years of the 30 he spent at Century 21 and even achieved the status of Double Centurion and even Grand Centurion previously.
While he appreciated his time with Century 21, Taylor was ready to tackle something new and joined McColly Real Estate on July 1, 2025.
“I had been with Century 21 for 30 years, since 1995, and was happy with them. After hearing about the resources and the things that McColly had to offer, however, I felt it was in my best interest to make the move and expand my horizons,” Taylor said.
Taylor had long respected McColly Real Estate from afar, and after getting to know the team behind the business, he knew it was time to make the switch. He appreciates the familial feel of McColly Real Estate, having gone from Century 21, which has over 100,000 offices, to McColly Real Estate, which has just over 20 offices and a more localized feel.
“I met Ron McColly, and then I met the rest of their staff. I realized that they are all for one and one for all,” Taylor said. “Ron and his family have owned this business since 1974, and it feels like it’s been run with more consideration and depth. It has a different feel than your average corporate business.”
With his experience being a top producer in his previous office and the top producer of his company for the last five years, Taylor and the rest of the David Taylor Team are happy to lend their expertise and care to clients through McColly Real Estate.
“I think we did somewhere in the vicinity of $35 million in gross sales last year, which puts us in the top five, so we’ve been top producers,” Taylor said. “Real estate, for us, has been not just working on transactions but bettering the lives of our clients. We make sure that, at the end of the day, we overdeliver on those services and promises we’ve made. We are the type of people that are not interested in earning a dollar; we’re interested in helping someone out.”
By exceeding clients’ expectations, the David Taylor Team has a greater chance of client referrals, which are the lifeblood of the team’s continued success. Averaging 100 deals per year, Taylor has found that 80% of clients leave a review, and those reviews are 95% positive. This earned them the team the Quality Service Award through a third-party survey system called RealSatisfied.
“Whether I sell the house or not, I want to leave my clients a little better off and treat them as a family member. For that reason, our business has grown,” Taylor said. “Several times a week a previous client calls telling me that their children need help buying a home. I recently sold a house to a previous client’s grandchild. Many of my clients now are children of my clients from 5, 10, and 20 years ago, so we’re reaching the second generation.”
