Strack & Van Til Charity Foundation connects employees and partners with annual golf outing

On Wednesday, August 5, The Strack & Van Til Charity Foundation brought the community together for a morning of fraternizing on the golf course with their annual golf outing. Lines of golf carts were packed with employees, vendors, and associates, taking to the green in support of a good cause. Everyone in attendance was treated to a breakfast before their round, and a lunch afterwards.

Jeff Strack, President of Strack & Van Til, was touched by the number of partnered vendors in attendance, all of whom showed their willingness to both assist and participate in the event.

“It’s very humbling to see the support from hundreds of our vendor partners. From the largest companies to the smallest, they all step up and help support this event,” said Strack. “It’s our communities that we’re helping, not just Strack & Van Til customers. At Strack & Van Til, we sell things within our four walls, but we’re trying to help make Northwest Indiana a better place to live in the process. We do that through supporting organizations and events that work towards enhancing the quality of life in the communities that we serve and live in.”

The annual golf outing has served numerous Region organizations throughout the years, including the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana and the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.

“We support the communities in various ways through our corporate profits and through our foundation,” Strack said. “We try to get in touch with as many of the organizations out there that are trying to do good things, help people, and help our communities be a better place to live. That is what it’s all about.”

Strack looks forward to the annual golf outing every year, considering it one of the most lively days on the company calendar. The event brings together so many faces, new and old, into White Hawk Country Club for fundraising and networking, and its attendance is full every year.

“It’s always exciting to see people who you haven’t seen in years still come out to support this event,” Strack said. “It’s all about building relationships and partnerships. When we do that, it’s a win-win situation for everyone.”

This event is a wonderful opportunity for the Strack and Van Til family to get out of the office for a day while building new connections with vendors and maintaining current ones. More importantly, the golf outing continues to raise money, creating a better future for both Strack & Van Til and Northwest Indiana as a whole. The company is excited to continue holding the event next year.
