Registration Now Open for 2015 Humane Society Critter Camp

Parents can now register their children ages 8 to 12 years of age for Critter Camp, a summer day camp for kids hosted by Humane Society Calumet Area (HSCA).
Held July 13 through 16 and Aug. 3 through 7, Critter Camp is a five-day camp that provides a fun, safe, hands-on environment for kids to learn about various aspects of animal care and build a sense of respect and responsibility for animals. Camp takes place each day from 9 a.m. to noon at HSCA, 421 45th St., Munster, Ind.
Campers will do a daily craft, enjoy a snack, make a camp t-shirt, and have interactive presentations about animals. Past presenters have included a veterinarian, dog trainer, wildlife sanctuary, a pet therapy team and more.
The registration fee is $100 for either the July or August camp. Camp size is limited.
