Aylesworth Students participated in a STEM design challenge. The students created a device that can transport 2 paperback books from limited regulars materials and without using their hands.

Kindergarten students at Myers Elementary School learned cooperative puzzle skills. Two puzzles were accidentally put in one box so as a necessity, we turned this into a learning opportunity. Students learned to problem solve, sort, wait their turn and work together building one piece at a time.

Saylor 4th grade students, are learning about the anatomy of the eye in science. They were able to take a virtual field trip of the eye, using virtual reality goggles. Students were able to see the eye up close, and learn more about the different layers and their functions.

On Wednesday, October 3rd, the Portage High School Faculty participated in “Depth of Knowledge” training. Depth of Knowledge involves increasing academic rigor as well as higher level thinking skills for students.
