Oak Partners organizes 2025 Economic Update event & dinner to inform clients about the market

On Tuesday, October 28, Oak Partners invited its clients and partners in the community to its 2025 Economic Update. Attendees were provided with a dinner as they had a front row seat to discuss and listen to fresh insights on the market. The event took place at the Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake.

Wealth Advisor and Partner Clint Henry gave a presentation during the Economic Update event. It’s important for him and his team to help educate clients by keeping them up-to-date and placing them in the best position possible to learn about the market or their finances.

“We’re at a precarious spot in the market as a whole just because we’re at some all-time highs,” Henry said. “It’s very narrow, and this economic update will draw a lot of comparisons to the late 1990s and the internet bubble to AI. That doesn’t mean it’s not going to go higher, but it’s just about understanding how we diversify from that spot.”

More than 150 clients and members of the Oak Partners community gathered together at this year’s dinner celebration. Henry considers the economic update to be one of the most valuable opportunities for their team to speak with so many clients and partners.

“This allows us one venue for people to talk to us,” Henry said. “We get a chance to know what we’re thinking, how we plan on changing our strategy, and what we’re doing moving forward to everybody at one time.  We’re grateful to have it at a facility like the Lighthouse Restaurant. Everybody gets a nice dinner as well.”

Crystal DeHaven, director of client experience at Oak Partners, recognized plenty of new faces at this year’s event. She ensured all of the attendees were familiar with the history and features of this association for financial planning and consultation.

“We’ve been a partner in retirement in  Northwest Indiana since 1993,” DeHaven said. “We offer locations locally in  St. John, Valparaiso, and Crown Point.

In addition to the educational events that Oak Partners does, the organization puts together an array of fun activities throughout the year.

Wealth Advisor and Partner Bridget Shoemaker was pleased with the turnout for this economic update event. She hopes to see many familiar and new faces for the next Oak Partners economic update event, which will take place in early 2026.

“It’s amazing to see so many people come out to learn about Oak Partners, our team, and our focus on everyone’s planning needs,” Shoemaker said. “We’re committed to keeping people informed and alleviating some of the major questions or concerns.”

Along with a dinner, this night provided an open conversation between Oak Partners and its clients. Many of the clients left learning something new about the economy, made new friends, and began an eagerness to make an impact in the community.

Henry said. “We have built so many great relationships, and it’s an honor to call them clients.”
