Notice of public hearings on Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority consideration of establishing a land development entity

Notice is hereby given that the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (“RDA”) will hold a public hearing commencing at 10:00 am (local time) on September 11, 2025, at the Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, Indiana 46307.  This hearing will provide information and seek comments related to the proposed establishment of an Indiana nonprofit corporation to serve as a land development entity to assist municipalities in northwest Indiana in assembling difficult to redevelop multi-parcel sites, provide environmental remediation through grant funding and attract private sector investment to bring these sites back into productive use (“LDE”).

Anyone interested in matters related to the proposed LDE is encouraged to be in attendance at the public hearing.

Materials related to establishment of the proposed LDE may be viewed at the RDA offices located in the Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, IN 46307, or online at www.in.gov/rda. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, comments may be submitted in writing to the RDA offices or by email to dwellman@rda.in.gov until 10 a.m. on September 11, 2025.

It is anticipated that at the conclusion of the public hearing, the RDA Governing Board will meet and take final action determining whether to establish the LDE pursuant to the RDA’s authority in IC 36-7.5.
