NITCO Hebron Office Spotlight: Erica Perez

Erica Perez is one of two Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) at NITCO’s Hebron office. In her role, she helps new customers seeking new services and she helps existing customers with their questions.

While NITCO only has two CSRs at its Hebron office, Hebron’s customer service team is larger as a whole. It includes supervisors, management, and more. Perez enjoys working with all of her division colleagues.

“I love my CSR team,” Perez said. “As a member of the CSR team, I have the privilege of working with some of the best people. Our team leads are awesome and my co-workers are great.”

For Perez, working with the larger NITCO team has provided her with an opportunity to do something different.

“It’s actually a pretty interesting opportunity,” she said. “I’ve never worked in a job like this before. All the higher-ups are very caring.”

In fact, this care and collaborative effort is not just something found amongst the CSR team. This approach is something embraced by the larger NITCO team. It’s a unique corporate environment that embraces employees like family, which is Perez’s favorite part of the working atmosphere.

In her free time, Perez spends a lot of time with her extended family. Working at NITCO makes this easy to do because NITCO prioritizes the balance between work and life as much as possible for her.

“Outside of work, I have a huge family,” Perez said. “Just recently, we spent the weekend just celebrating one side of our family’s Christmas.”

Perez has a stepdaughter who is 20 years old. While she’s technically her stepdaughter, Perez refers to her as a daughter. They are very similar.

“She is just like me in every way,” Perez said.

Because NITCO is such a family-oriented company, Perez is able to spend a lot of time with her stepdaughter, including visiting her at college.

“My daughter’s in college,” Perez said. “She goes to the University of Evansville, so there’s a few times where we’ve traveled back and forth to Evansville to help with my daughter moving in.”

Perez and her husband like to travel, mainly locally.

“We spend as much time as we can outside of the house traveling,” she said. 

They also enjoy shopping and being around each other. Their weekends overlap at least one day and they try to spend it together.

“We both have at least one day off a week together, typically Saturdays,” Perez said. “We like to spend it together doing something fun.”

Perez loves helping all NITCO customers, but has a special place in her heart for helping NITCO’s senior citizen clients.

“I like talking to the older customers, because they’re fun and I think they bring out the best in everybody,” she said.

Originally from Hammond, Perez moved to the DeMotte area when she was a teenager. She’s been in the area ever since.

Perez is a dedicated member of the NITCO Hebron office team and is very proud to work for such a family-orientated company. She is committed to her colleagues and NITCO’s clients alike.
