The community can come together to learn about cooking with an air fryer on January 8, 2026, as Purdue Extension-Lake County introduces an informative program. This is a program that showcases safe and effective uses of the air fryers, with a focus on food safety and healthier cooking methods.
This session will consist of an overview of how to properly use an air fryer, the functionalities, proper handling and maintenance, and the best practices to ensure food safety. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore ways to reduce fat in their cog while maintaining the same flavor and texture they’re looking for.
Community members can come to Crown Point from 1-3 p.m. to try their hand at the program and learn a variety of cooking methods along the way.
If you need an accommodations prior to this program, including the need for an interpreter or translator, you can contact Linda Curley at lcurley@purdue.edu. Register online to join the community in this complimentary in-person program.
