Michigan City High School Athletics to Host Heritage Night, Invites Alumni to “Pack the Den”

Michigan City High School will host its annual Heritage Night on Saturday, January 31, during the Boys Basketball matchup against Marion High School, inviting all alumni and the community to help “Pack the Den.”

This special evening celebrates the rich tradition of Michigan City basketball and the legacy of MC Elston, MC Rogers, and Michigan City High School. The matchup also revives a historic rivalry, as Marion was a consecutive IHSAA Boys Basketball Semi-State opponent of Marion’s from 1984 to 1987.

The JV game tips off at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Varsity game at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Alumni, students, families, staff, and community members are encouraged to wear their respective school colors as Michigan City comes together to honor generations past and present.
