Micah Pruett stays committed to the customers as sales and aftermarket manager at Currie Motors Ford of Valpo

For nearly a decade, Micah Pruett has helped shape the culture and success of Currie Motors Ford of Valpo through his commitment to customers, coworkers, and continuous growth. No matter what role he was serving for the company, he has always made it his individual mission to showcase his dedication, leadership, and work ethic – three qualities that have helped Currie Motors Ford of Valpo thrive as a result.

“I’ve been with Currie Motors for almost nine years. I have recently been promoted to Sales Manager, and I also oversee the Aftersale Department. This has given me the opportunity to continue growing with the company,” Pruett said.

Just recently, Pruett received the promotion to his current position. He believes that this opportunity allows him to be more present for his customers and his team.

“It feels great to be recognized for the hard work I’ve put in over the years,” Pruett noted. “This promotion also gives me the opportunity to help even more people, and that’s something I really enjoy.”

As he steps into this new position, the most important objective for Pruett is to serve as not only a manager but an educator for the people who are observing his daily activities on the job. With Pruett being one of the most experienced members of the team, this is a prime opportunity for him to help guide his peers through what his job entails.

“My biggest priority is being a strong leader and passing along the skills and knowledge I’ve gained throughout my career,” Pruett explained. “I want to help develop the next generation and put them in a position to succeed.”

The sales department collaborates with other Currie Motors Ford of Valpo departments on a regular basis. This can include the departments of finance, service, inventory, parts, office, remote experience, and the body shop.

“Our departments work really well together, and everyone does their part to help each other. We all work as one team to make sure our customers have the best experience possible,” Pruett said.

Today, as an experienced member of the automotive industry, Pruett is confident to tackle any project thrown his direction. From an early age, he knew this career was his calling, and he hopes to continue it for many years to come.

“I’ve been in the automotive industry since I was 18 years old, and I’ll be 40 next year,” Pruett stated. “It’s really the only career I’ve ever known. It’s an industry that I’ve enjoyed being part of, and it’s been rewarding to build a long-term career doing what I do.”

Serving as both a sales and aftermarket manager can be a stressful gig for many. The biggest piece of advice that Pruett can offer is to dedicate a full commitment and some extra credit to the next day ahead.

“If there is something you want to do, then go for it and give it everything you’ve got. Put in 120% effort every single day, and you’ll give yourself the best opportunity to succeed,” Pruett declared.
