LaPorte Civic Auditorium – Enjoy unforgettable live music at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium, where nationally touring tribute acts and chart-topping rock bands take the stage for a high-energy concert series all summer long. Upcoming shows:

  • May 10, 6:45pm – Experience the energy and classic rock sound of Creedence Clearwater Revival brought to life by Creedence Revived—an internationally acclaimed tribute band known for sold-out shows and top-tier musicianship.
  • May 17, 7pm – Queen Nation delivers the timeless music of Queen with authenticity and passion. Featuring Gregory Finsley as Freddie Mercury, this tribute band has perfected their performance over 15 years of touring.
  • June 14, 7pm – Celebrate the heartland sound with Small Town, an all-Hoosier tribute to John Mellencamp. Opening the night is LaPorte’s own Rich Hardesty, known for his unique blend of reggae, folk, and rock.
  • July 18, 7pm – Don’t miss multi-platinum rockers Hinder, known for chart-topping hits like “Lips of an Angel” and “Get Stoned.” With a powerhouse live show, this is sure to be the rock event of the summer.
  • Aug 9, 7pm – Set sail for Margaritaville with Gone 2 Paradise, delivering a high-energy tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Back by popular demand, their show brings the beach party vibe straight to the Civic stage.

LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra’s 2025–2026 Season: America the Beautiful – Now in its 53rd season—and fifth under the baton of Dr. Carolyn Watson—the LCSO celebrates America’s 250th birthday with a powerful series of performances that honor the stories, sounds, and spirit of the nation. Don’t miss:

  • Sept 13, 2025  Hoosier Star: Star of Stars –Nine past finalists return for this special 20th anniversary edition of the beloved Hoosier Star vocal competition and fundraiser.
  • Oct 2025  Drayton Family Children’s Education Concerts – Now in its 37th year, this program welcomes over 5,000 students for a lively introduction to orchestral music.
  • Nov 8, 2025  Dream of America – Held at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium, this stirring season opener features Peter Boyer’s Ellis Island: The Dream of America, plus works by John Williams, John Adams, and Jessie Montgomery.
  • Dec 13, 2025  Holiday at the Pops – A cherished tradition, this festive concert brings the holiday spirit to life at the Civic Auditorium under Dr. Watson’s direction.
  • Feb 7, 2026  The Roaring 20s – A jazzy, toe-tapping celebration of America’s Jazz Age with classics from Gershwin, Porter, and Berlin, performed at the LaPorte High School Performing Arts Center.
  • March 8, 2026  The New World – At the Holdcraft Performing Arts Center, this concert reflects on America’s growth, featuring Lincoln Portrait, New World Symphony, and more.
  • April 18, 2026  Remember When Rock Was Young: The Elton John Experience –Closing the season is this high-energy tribute starring Craig A. Meyer, celebrating Elton John’s biggest American-inspired hits.

LaPorte City Band Concerts in the Park – 7pm Wednesdays, June 4-Aug 6, Fox Park, LaPorte – Rousing concerts by the oldest continuously operating municipal band in the U.S., founded in 1879. 

Michigan City Municipal Band Concerts – 7:30 pm Thursdays, mid-June through mid-August, Guy F. Foreman Bicentennial Amphitheater in Washington Park, Michigan City – A wide variety of music for all ages with audience invited to sing along at opening and closing. 

Live at the Lakefront – Presented by Harbor Country Adventures and NTL Productions, the venue is located at the Millennium Plaza Bandstand overlooking Lake Michigan and its breathtaking views.

Festivals, Fairs & Feel-Good vibes

Red, Wine & Brew – June 27-29, LaPorte – This annual festival features country music artists Big & Rich, Parmalee, Lee Greenwood, and Dillon Carmichael.

LaPorte County Fair – July 5-July 12, LaPorte – Country music star – Warren Zeiders on July 10.

LaPorte LakeFest – July 25-27, LaPorte – Global pop sensation Jesse McCartney—the voice behind hits like “Beautiful Soul” and “Leavin’”—will take the stage for a FREE live concert on Saturday, July 26, at the Dennis F. Smith Amphitheater in Fox Park.

XINSURANCE Great Lakes Grand Prix – July 28–Aug 3, Michigan City – Feel the roar of the engines and the rhythm of live music! From high-speed thrills on the water to high-energy performances on land, Washington Park and downtown come alive with entertainment for all ages.

Enjoy waterfront views and great tunes as the Boardwalk becomes the ultimate summer stage:

  • Thurs, July 31, 7–11pm – Nawty – Get the party started with this crowd-favorite band known for their mix of funk, soul, and rock.
  • Fri, Aug 1, 7–11pm – Aftermath – Dance the night away to classic rock hits and feel-good favorites.
  • Sat, Aug 2, 7-11pm – Point’n Fingers – Kick off race weekend with one of the region’s most dynamic party bands.
  • Sat, Aug 2, 7-10pm – Head Honchos (Franklin & 7th St) – Blending blue, rock, and soul, this high-octane performance from Head Honchos adds the perfect soundtrack to a night of celebration downtown.

Michigan City Oktoberfest Aug 29-Sept 1 – Oktoberfest is back in Michigan City and features over 50 live entertainment acts on 3 stages, multiple bars, and a wide variety of food, art, craft and merchandise vendors as well as a Kids Zone. Labor Day weekend fun for the whole family.
