LCSO Children’s Chorus Gears Up for 7th Season

The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra Children’s Chorus, under the direction of Matthew Nelson, is now taking registrations for enrollment into this season’s performing group. The LCSO extends the invitation for any student in grades 2-5 to apply to be a part of this noted ensemble. Registrations forms can be printed from the http://www.lcso.net/education/childrens-choir website. There is a registration fee of $10 per member. Registration forms can be submitted online and fees can be paid at the first rehearsal.

Performances will include:

• Saturday, November 21, 2015, 7:30 p.m.: Singing with the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Night, at the Civic Auditorium in La Porte where the chorus will sing to honor our veterans.
• Friday, December 18, 2015, 7:00 p.m.: Holiday Concert at 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church located at 102 G Street, La Porte.
• Sunday, March 20, 2016, 3:00 p.m.: Spring Concert to be held at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 8 and will be held weekly (Tuesdays) from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church.

Both the holiday and spring concerts will be free and open to the public. Tickets to the LCSO’s Opening Night concert on November 21 may be purchased online at www.lcso.net or at the ticket outlets located at ROXY Music, La Porte Savings Bank and the La Porte County Convention & Visitors Bureau in the Marquette Mall on Franklin StreetiIn Michigan City.
