Lakes of Valparaiso brings dedication to its residents through Spring Events

Each month, the luxury apartment property Lakes of Valparaiso hosts an event for its residents. The property, which is owned and managed by Chicago-based Weiss Entities LLC, is very intentional about creating more than a residence for its residents. The developer wants to create a complete lifestyle for its residents. 

Weiss recently hired a new Community Manager, LeAnna Dunaway, to oversee these monthly resident events and other components of creating a social environment that feeds this full lifestyle goal.

“I’m so excited to work on new events for our residents here at Lakes of Valparaiso,” she said. “I’ve been able to sit down with the team and talk to residents about previous events, and it sounds like there have been so many fun get-togethers, including the recent winter events.”

Past Lakes of Valparaiso residential events have included resident breakfasts, painting classes, fondue parties, happy hours, and even a Valentine card making gathering. 

This spring, the Lakes of Valparaiso plan to host a variety of events.

“In March, we are launching a March Madness Bracket competition,” said Dunaway. “This will be the first of our spring events, and we’re excited to engage with our residents for this event.”

April and May events will be more culinary-themed, yet still diverse in their themes.

“We are looking at doing a breakfast-on-the-go for April and possibly treats for May,” said Dunaway. 

The Lakes at Valparaiso team is always open to ideas for future events from its residents. They love collaborating with residents and always aim to make the events fun for them.

“We encourage residents to reach out to us with their ideas,” said Dunaway. “They are welcome to call our office or email me directly. We love ideas!”

Past and present events are also listed on the Lakes of Valparaiso’s social media pages, including on Instagram and Facebook. 

Dunaway is very excited about the spring events and about merging past event ideas with new ones.

“I’m excited to bring another perspective to my management style,” she said. “I’m very close with all the residents that I’ve had in the past. I’m just excited to get to know these residents and really be there for them and provide the best housing experience we can for them, including with these events.”

More information is forthcoming for residents on spring event specifics. It will be sent via email and via Lakes of Valparaiso resident portal notification in the coming weeks. 

“We’re excited to make sure that we do prioritize these events because sometimes they do get on the back burner due to all of the ongoing exciting initiatives and projects we have at Lakes of Valparaiso,” said Dunaway. “But we still think it’s important to make sure that we’re having them for the community, and I’m looking forward to spearheading the monthly event organization.”
