La Lumiere School Announces Third Annual Excellence in Teaching Award

La-Lumiere-SchoolLa Lumiere School is proud to announce the third annual Excellence in Teaching Award. Students from middle schools in Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan will nominate teachers for this annual award by writing an essay explaining how their teachers are innovative, dedicated, and truly care for their students. The award-winning teacher will receive dinner and a movie for two each month during the school year. The student who submits the winning nomination will also be recognized. The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes and rewards professionals in our community who are committed to the vocation of teaching and who provide outstanding middle school education experiences for our area students.

The 2013 Excellence in Teaching Award will be announced in August. Deadline for online submission of nominations is June 28, 2013. Students can go to lalumiere.org to complete the nomination form.
