This opportunity comes because Parker Dewey received a grant from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) to fund paid micro-internships for Indiana students. This grant gives local employers a risk-free way to access students who will complete real, meaningful work. Indiana employers can host up to five students, who are paid $400 upon completion of the project.

So, what is a micro-internship? All Parker Dewey Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional projects designed to help employers connect with and assess college students and recent grads, all while getting real work done. Whether you’re looking to build your early-career pipeline, increase hiring opportunities, or just need a project off your team’s plate, Micro-Internships deliver value while the Parker Dewey team helps you identify skills, interests, engagement and predictive hiring data.

These opportunities are a win-win, giving employers a funded alternative to traditional unpaid internships. This helps attract a wider, more diverse pool of talented students who might have previously struggled to find paid opportunities in their area of interest.

This initiative also includes the appointment of a Parker Dewey Student Ambassador at IU Northwest to drive student awareness and ensure strong applicant pools for all posted projects.

If you’re interested, sign up for the webinar or reach out to IU Northwest Director of Career Services Diava Carter (dicart@iu.edu) with any questions.
