Debbie Walls, Christa Emerson, Paulius Lisauskas and Mike Woodke received Indiana Beverage’s highest honor, the Delivering the Difference Award, on April 15th, alongside esteemed past recipients since 2011. Debbie, Christa, Paulius and Mike embody Indiana Beverage’s Core Values of Passion, Respect, Integrity, Commitment and Excelling.
At Indiana Beverage, excellence is not just a goal, it is our way of working. This year’s honorees have gone the extra mile for their teammates, their customers, and their communities. Whether it is through exceptional service, their combined 71 years of experience, or their heart for our core values, these individuals truly embody what it means to Deliver the Difference.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Debbie has been with Indiana Beverage for nearly 12 years and has spent all her time with us in the Human Resources department, currently serving as our Human Resources Manager. Debbie has a range of in-depth knowledge, which spans from understanding of all roles within our company, to benefits offered such as insurance and paid time off. Debbie plays a big part in coordinating company events such as Skate Night and Family Night, helps coordinate wellness screenings, maintaining essential learning courses to employees in Paycom, and coordinating our annual Blood Drive with American Red Cross. Debbie resides in Chesterton and is a loving mom to her children Maeve and Morgan. She enjoys spending time with her family and cat, Mr. Kitty; Debbie also enjoys staying active by walking her dog, Pepper, at the Indiana Dunes and participating in Dig the Dunes Beer Runs.

The Delivering the Difference luncheon is one of many events Christa organizes. She is known for her attention to detail, and to quote Jon Leetz, being “the glue that holds us all together.” Christa has held the role of Executive Assistant at Indiana Beverage for nearly 13 years and has a variety of responsibilities far beyond what most would think. Without Christa, no event held at or by Indiana Beverage could happen; she plans every detail of every event, and makes it look easy. Christa lives in Valparaiso and has two sons, Troy and Kade and a daughter-in-law, Katie. She is also fond of her pets Mavis and Carl. In her free time, Christa enjoys photography, visiting historic places, traveling, and hiking.

Paulius’ tenure has always been in delivery and started in 2008. He began as a delivery helper and obtained his Class A CDL in March of the following year. In 2013, he became the delivery route driver for Crown Point and the surrounding areas, where he has won over his customers with his kindness and positive attitude. Although he has a calm demeanor, his work ethic is one of a beast. Paulius tackles each day with a plan in place to ensure his delivery route goes smooth and delivers our products efficiently and safely and is often among the ranks for Driver of the Month. When not at work, Paulius prefers to go camping at different state parks with his wife, Kristina, and daughter, Ema.

Affectionately known as Doc, Mike Woodke can fix just about anything with a motor on it. Mike has been an integral part of our service department since 1996, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing a variety of fleet vehicles to ensure everyone gets to where they need to be. It is Mike’s nature to help others; he is frequently doing something to make the life of a coworker, friend, or family member easier. He is known to take initiative on his off days, to do things such as plowing and treating fuel with additives to our fleet of trucks, knowing cold weather was coming. In his free time, Mike is often working on vehicles, including a school bus that he enters in the Demolition Derby at the Porter County Fair. Mike resides in Valparaiso with his wife, Kimberly; together they have two sons, Ian, and Evan.
