Honor Northwest Indiana’s Hospitality Stars: Nominate Someone & They Could Win $1,200+ in Prizes

Do you know someone who consistently goes above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences for guests? The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority (SSCVA) is accepting nominations for the 20th Annual R.O.S.E. and R.I.S.E. Awards through August 1, celebrating the hospitality professionals who help make Northwest Indiana shine.

From restaurant servers and hotel staff to attraction employees and tourism ambassadors, these awards recognize the people who create memorable moments for visitors and residents every day.

“This program is all about celebrating the people behind the experiences,” said Phil Taillon, SSCVA President/CEO. “The hospitality industry is built on passion, service and genuine connections. These awards give us the opportunity to recognize those individuals who make guests feel welcome and leave a lasting impression on our region.”

Finalists will receive a surprise workplace visit and special invitation to the awards celebration. Winners will be announced during an exciting evening event and will receive an award along with prize packages valued at more than $1,200.

The R.O.S.E. Awards (Recognition of Service Excellence) honor front-line employees who deliver exceptional customer service, while the R.I.S.E. Awards (Recognition of Industry Success & Excellence) recognize supervisors, managers and previous R.O.S.E. recipients who demonstrate outstanding leadership and dedication to the hospitality industry.

The 2026 R.O.S.E. and R.I.S.E. Awards Dinner will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. Before the evening celebration, finalists will enjoy a VIP afternoon featuring limousine transportation courtesy of Epic Limo of Valparaiso and a choice of special experiences at either Public Bar & Rec in Crown Point or the Bloom Boutique Salon in Schererville.

Nominations must be submitted by August 1, 2026, and any received after that date will be considered for the 2027 awards program. Nominations may be submitted by customers, coworkers, managers or business owners. Supporting materials, including photos, guest comments and letters of recommendation, may also be uploaded.
