Goshen High School Names Philip Habecker as Head Girls Volleyball Coach

Goshen Community Schools is pleased to announce that Philip Habecker has been hired as the new Head Girls Volleyball Coach at Goshen High School. 

Habecker brings a strong background in education, athletics, and community leadership to the RedHawk volleyball program. He has more than two decades of experience as an educator and coach, including 14 years as the 8th Grade Varsity Volleyball Coach at Concord Junior High School, where his teams consistently competed at a high level and earned multiple conference championships. He has also coached club volleyball through the Northern Indiana Volleyball Association (NIVA), including leading teams to tournament success. 

Habecker currently works at Entech, Inc. in Middlebury, Indiana, where he serves in purchasing and  production management, overseeing operations and team leadership. He holds a Master of Education degree  from Indiana Wesleyan University and brings 15 years of experience as a public-school educator. 

“Philip brings a unique combination of coaching experience, leadership, and a student-centered mindset,” said Jim Pickard, GHS Athletic Director. “We are confident he will provide strong leadership for our volleyball program while building positive relationships with student-athletes and families.” 

Habecker is also actively involved in the Goshen community and has served in leadership roles with neighborhood associations, nonprofit boards, and local organizations. His community-focused approach aligns with Goshen Community Schools’ commitment to supporting students both on and off the court. 

Goshen Community Schools looks forward to the leadership and enthusiasm Coach Habecker will bring to the Goshen High School girls’ volleyball program, and welcomes him to the RedHawk family.
