Goshen High School Leadership Update

Goshen Community Schools (GCS) announces that Cathleen DeMeyer, principal of Goshen  High School (GHS), has shared her decision to retire and will not be returning to the school following winter  break.

GCS extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. DeMeyer for her years of dedicated service to Goshen High  School and the broader Goshen community. Her leadership, commitment to students, and support of staff  have had a lasting impact on the school.

To ensure continuity and stability for students and staff, Jim DuBois, Superintendent of Goshen Community  Schools, along with Alan Metcalfe, Associate Superintendent, and Lori Shreiner, Assistant Superintendent, will  provide additional leadership support to Goshen High School during this transition period. The school’s four  grade-level assistant principals will continue to carry out their roles, ensuring that daily operations and student  learning remain business as usual.

The GCS administrative team has begun the process of interviewing candidates for an interim principal.  District leadership remains committed to supporting the high school community and maintaining a smooth  transition focused on student success, staff support, and family communication.

Further updates will be shared as the interim leadership process moves forward.
