Franciscan Health presenting free Super Sitter classes

Franciscan Health is presenting three free Super Sitter classes in 2026 to help attendees gain the skills they need to safely care for children.

Topics covered include basic childcare skills, first aid and safety procedures, starting a babysitting business and infant and child CPR (basic skills, no certification), as well as appropriate, educational play and toys.

The classes will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central on Tuesday June 23, Tuesday July 21 and Thursday Oct. 15 at Franciscan Health Michigan City’s Homer Street Campus, 301 W. Homer St. in Michigan City. Attendees only need to attend one session. Attendees are encouraged to bring a sack lunch as food is not provided.
