Elkhart County CVB earns DMAP Reaccreditation from Destinations International

The Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau earned its reaccreditation five years after receiving the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) accreditation from Destinations International.

DMAP accreditation is awarded in recognition of the organization’s commitment to industry excellence and meeting the industry standard for performance and accountability of destination organizations around the world.

“We are pleased to have the Elkhart County CVB maintain their participation in our distinguished group of accredited organizations,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “The industry distinction defines quality and performance standards for destination organizations, and they are a valued member of the DMAP community.”

The accreditation program requires a destination organization to successfully comply with a set of rigorous mandatory and voluntary standards that span a variety of performance areas to gain this momentous achievement. The standards cover nearly all aspects related to the management and marketing of destination organizations including governance, finance, human resources, sales, communications, destination development and research. The Elkhart County CVB is among nearly 200 destination organizations that have obtained DMAP accreditation.

We work hard on behalf of the destination and our many partners, delivering services and programs that attract visitors to Elkhart County year-round and helping our entrepreneurs build their businesses. This DMAP reaccreditation confirms that we are achieving at the highest level in our industry,” said Jon Hunsberger, executive director of the Elkhart County CVB.

The visitor economy generates more than $850 million in annual economic impact for Elkhart County.
