Crown Point Launching New Guest Experience at Bulldog Park

The City of Crown Point is launching a new guest experience at Bulldog Park for the upcoming ice skating season.
Beginning Nov. 28, 2025, all visitors and skaters at Bulldog Park will have to register at a kiosk before skating on the Timothy Grzych Ice Rink. Any skater or visitor during open skate under the age of 18 or not enrolled in high school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Registrants must have a valid state ID, driver’s license or high school ID card — all class levels (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) will be accepted.
Also new this year, those with ice skates will be able to purchase admission without waiting in the skate rental line during peak hours.
The changes come as the City looks to enhance the safety, efficiency and overall environment during open skate at Bulldog Park, PACE Chief Administrator Adam Graper said.
“We want to ensure everyone who is skating at our facility is enjoying their time on the ice. This change will allow us to act swiftly if an injury occurs or an emergency situation arises,” Graper said.
The process is simple and requires visitors to take a photo, fill out basic contact information and sign a waiver. Participants have signed waivers since the ice rink opened in 2018, Graper explained.
Admission and skate rental prices will remain the same in the 2025-2026 season — $5 each — and the venue will continue to be cashless. Debit and credit cards, gift cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay will be accepted for admission, skate rental and at the concession stand.
The Timothy Grzych Ice Rink will open for the 2025-2026 season on Friday, Nov. 28. The rink will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on opening day; noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29; and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30. For a complete calendar, visit crownpoint.info/openskate.
