CoAction to Host AgeWell Symposium and Caregiver Expo Connecting Seniors and Caregivers to Local Resources

CoAction, the Area Agency on Aging serving Northwest Indiana, is proud to host the AgeWell Symposium and Caregiver Expo on Friday, November 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center in Merrillville.

The event is designed to connect older adults, caregivers, and service providers with a wide range of community resources that support healthy, independent aging. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about caregiving options, wellness programs, home care services, and more all in one place.

“Many older adults and caregivers don’t know about the incredible support systems available to them right here in Northwest Indiana,” said Jessica Traina, CoAction’s Age Well Program Manager. “This event helps bridge that gap and empowers individuals with information and connections that can make daily life easier.”

Dozens of local vendors will be in attendance to share information about their programs and services. Some of the participating organizations include Franciscan Health – Palliative Care, VNA Hospice NWI, TeamSelect Homecare, and ABC Homecare Services.

Vendor participation is limited. Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Abbey Babe, Development Manager, at ababe@coaction.care for more information. Vendor access will be open exclusively to CoAction’s Aging team employees from 9 to 10:30 a.m. before the event opens to the public.
