Centier Bank wins Statewide Award for Commitment to Community in Banking

Centier Bank, Indiana’s largest private, family owned and operated bank, is honored to have received the Indiana Bankers Association C2C (Commitment to Community) Award for outstanding community service performed during 2025. The award was presented on Thursday, May 21, during the IBA Mega Conference in Indianapolis.
The Indiana Bankers Association supports Indiana banking through issues advocacy, professional education, and products and services that enhance financial institutions’ ability to help build better communities. The Association created the C2C Awards in 2018 to celebrate exceptional bank outreach and raise public awareness of the diverse ways that banks support the communities they serve. Winners were chosen out of 18 Indiana-based entrants across three categories. Centier Bank won this prestigious award in the Large Banks category, representing banks with $3 billion or more.
Centier’s commitment to the community remains an integral part of who the company is. In fact, in 2025 alone, its community service efforts included:

Troy Kafka, senior vice president & Greater Indianapolis Market president for Centier Bank, was on hand to accept this award at the IBA Mega Conference, along with several other members of Centier Bank.

Centier’s accolades in 2025 include being named a Best Place to Work for the 19th consecutive year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The bank has also received recognition from Forbes as one of Indiana’s top-rated banks for seven consecutive years, ranking first in the state most recently for 2024. In addition, Centier ranked the best bank to work for in Indiana in American Banker’s 2025 Best Banks to Work For list, as well as ranking #5 nationally on the list of the top 90 banks, up from #11 in 2024.
